This course explores Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori)-related peptic ulcer disease, covering its symptoms, etiology, and the underlying pathophysiology of gastric and duodenal ulcers. Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of patient evaluation, diagnosis, and evidence-based treatment approaches, including both pharmacologic and nonpharmacologic strategies.

The course discusses pharmacologic therapies such as antacids, H2 receptor antagonists, proton pump inhibitors (PPIs), sucralfate, antibiotics for H. pylori eradication, and misoprostol, as well as patient education strategies to enhance treatment adherence and prevent recurrence.
