This course introduce students to the underlying pathophysiology of pain. We addressed important points about the evaluation of the patient with pain and important teaching points in patient education and also covered analgesic medications, including NSAIDs, acetaminophen, opioids, lidocaine, and muscle relaxants, as well as adjuvants including antidepressants, antiepileptic drugs, and corticosteroids.
