This course reviews the laws and rules that govern the practice of nursing in Florida for Licensed Practical Nurses, Registered Nurses, Clinical Nurse Specialists and Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioners. It includes content from Chapters 456 and 464 of the Florida Statutes and the rules in Title 64B9 of the Florida Administrative Code. Participants of this course will learn about the Nurse Practice Act, specific laws and rules related to the practice of nursing and general requirements for continuing licensure in the State.
This course meets the Florida Board of Nursing requirement of completion of a two-hour course on laws and rules that govern the practice of nursing in Florida prior to licensure renewal.
