Overview
This course reviews the underlying processes associated with the measurement of vital signs, including circulation, respiration, temperature regulation, and oxygen saturation. Alterations in vital signs and possible causes are also discussed. In addition guidelines for vital sign measurement and the appropriate sites and equipment to be used are reviewed. Finally, the responsibility of the nurse in relation to delegation, validation, and documentation of vital signs are discussed.
